Bomberos (Fire Fighters) of Quetzaltenango (Xela) respond to an aviation mishap, 20 November 2015. This time of year, as the clouds and rain of the wet season diminish, and almost proportionally, flight operations are on the increase up here in the western highlands of Guatemala.  The three on-board this air craft, though gravely injured, survived. As you can see from the photo, the aircraft was totally destroyed.

The exact cause of this mishap will take some time to determine. Likely and in my opinion, pilot error, will be the final determination. More in this later as information becomes available.
